Blues and the Muse

I’ve got the blues, I’ve got my shoes
I’ve got a muse and nothing to lose
carry my guitar on my back
I pick a flower on the lonesome track

the troubadour writes. the troubadour sings
about dirty angels losing their wings
the troubadour dives into the sea
riding the waves on a desert tree

and I’m going round and round
feel the rhythm hear the sound

a place for noble man to go
into the alleys of the soul
into the gutters of the mind
into the dawn…. that was left behind

I ‘ve got the blues. i’ve got my shoes
I’ve got a muse and nothing to lose
carry my guitar on my back
I travel the roads….and don’t look back

and I’m going round and round
feel the rhythm hear the sound
