Arthur (Or the Decline and Fall of the British Empire),is a concept album by the English rock band the Kinks. It was released in October 1969. The album was critically acclaimed at the time of release, especially in the US rock press. Rolling Stone Magazine wrote at the time: “Arthur is by all odds the best British album of 1969”.
